Guide on Mercenary Skill Build

Welcome to the Guide on Mercenary Skill Build!

While I was fiddling with the skill simulator for a lv 50 build, I realised I forgot to share a tip with you all. If you want to refrain from using real cash to buy skill reset, please do think twice before increasing any skills to a higher level. You may discover that you need SP here and there for your 2nd advancement skills pre-requisite but you have already wasted. So either save your SP or plan out a lv 50 build properly. =)

In this guide, I will be using a lv 40 Axe Hybrid Mercenary Skill Build. Personally, I am quite a fan of Cabal Online previously. For those who know about the game, you must know about one of the skills of the warrior class => Whirlwind. For DN, mercenary has whirlwind skills too! Shikai and Bankai mode =D

Well, I guess the intro is a bit long =X. So now, a point to note is that Mercenaries have no magic or physical build difference. All their skills are based on physical attack. And this is also a good class for both PvP and PvE. However, there are really many skills for Mercenaries so you have to give and take. You may want to shift some SP from attack skills to defensive skills for higher survivability.

Advantages:

  • High Spammability – You will many skills to spam most of the time. This feels more exciting compared to the situation if you need to wait long time for your skills to cool down.
  • Able to learn many useful skills including the various howls which benefit either yourself or the whole party member within the vicinity. Read the rest of this entry

Guide on Elemental Lord/Elementalist Skill Build

Hi guys, this is a Guide on Elemental Lord/Elementalist Skill Build I’ve written based on several guides from foreign players. I am not an experienced Elemental Lord/Elementalist, and hence you may wish to refer to other guides before following my skill build entirely for yourself.

I will be using a Hybrid Fire+Ice skill build (leaning towards Ice). Please note that this skill build may change drastically when the 2nd job advancement is being released. This build is only dedicated to hybrid builds up to Lv40. I Read the rest of this entry

Swordmaster Heraldry Plates/Crests

What are the suitable Heraldry Plates/Crests for Swordmasters? As you know there are both Stats-based Heraldry and Skills-based Heraldry. I would not be talking about ALL the plates available, but just what I consider is good for Swordmasters, and some other possible alternatives.

Note: I do not have the names of all the Heraldry Plates from DN SEA. I will be using my own translation from the CN/TW servers. Nonetheless, I will explain what the plate does, so you will roughly get the idea which Heraldry Plate it is.

Firstly, let’s talk about Stats-based Heraldry. The most important few plates would be

  1. Fatal – Increases your Critical Chance by a certain amount. I believe all attack classes will use this plate as one of their 8 choices. Critical ignores defense, so that is what makes Critical so important. Magic SM need high critical chance to be effective.
  2. Physical Attack/Magic Attack – Depending on the build you are using for your Swordmaster, pick one of them. Thisamplifies your attack stat by a huge margin. Being Hybrid, you can choose to use them both at the same time, but you would have to sacrifice another Heraldry for it. Read the rest of this entry

Force User/Mystic Heraldry Plates/Crests

Paladin Heraldry Plates

What are the suitable Heraldry Plates for Paladins? As you know there are both Stats-based Heraldry and Skills-based Heraldry. I would not be talking about ALL the plates available, but just what I consider is good for Paladins, and some other possible alternatives.
