Priest Heraldry Plates

I would not be talking about ALL the plates available, but just what I consider is good for Priests, and some other possible alternatives.

Firstly, let’s talk about Stats-based Heraldry. The most important few plates would be

  1. Fatal – Increases your Critical Chance by a certain amount. I believe all attack classes will use this plate as one of their 8 choices. Critical ignores defense, so that is what makes Critical so important. More for Lightning Priest (Inquisitor-to-be).
  2. Magic Attack – Thisamplifies your Magic Attack stat by a huge margin. Increases your damage and your healing amount for Healing Relic.
  3. HP – Increases your HP by a certain amount. Enhances the amount of HP healed by your Heal skill.
  4. Wisdom – Increases your Intelligence Stat by a certain amount.
Subsequently, these are the possible plates that I would pick.
  1. Vibrancy – Increases MP regeneration. There are times when I often run out of MP after spamming my skills through dungeons. This plate helps me to continue attacking without worrying.
  2. Health – Increases your Vitality Stat by a certain amount. This would increase a little of your HP and Defense, UNLESS you are using equipment that boost Vitality by a huge margin. Then, this plate will increase your HP by a huge margin.
  3. Undaunting – Increases your Paralyze Resistance Stat by a certain amount. This reduces the chance of you getting hit to a state in which you won’t be able to move for a slight duration More for PvP usage.
  4. Committment/Shining – Increases your defenses. Possible choices if you are more to PvE.

When you are really rich, try to get yourself a 3-stat Heraldry Plate. If you have ever gotten one in CBT, you would have seen a Stat Heraldry giving you a random additional stat in it. When a good additional stat is imbued within a good Heraldry Plate, it would usually cost a bomb. Either use it, or sell it for gold!

Secondly, for Skills, they are

  1. Heal – Must-have for Support Priests. You can pick either the cooldown reduction or healing amount choice in the Heraldry Production. Both choices have their own pros and cons.
  2. Charged Bolt – Inquisitors-to-be pick the damage increase choice. One of the best DPS spells on big mobs and bosses.
  3. Healing Relic – Pick the cooldown reduction choice.
  4. Lightning Relic – Even being a Priest, this is your bread and butter skill. It will be your EX skill in the future too. Pick the cooldown reduction choice in the Heraldry Production.
  5. Lightning Bolt – Must-have for Lightning Priests. Your EX skill if you’re going for Inquisitor. Pick the damage increase choice in the Heraldry Production.
  6. Holy Bust – One of your best spells in terms of damage and AOE. Pick the damage increase choice in the Heraldry Production.
  7. Relic of Miracle – Pick the cooldown reduction choice in the Heraldry Production.
  8. Heaven’s Judgment – Depending on your preference, pick either the damage increase option or the cooldown reduction option.
  9. Your 3 buffs – Some priests chose the duration increment to minimize the number of times of casting the spells to sustain them permanently.

  1. does stat heraldry stack? and is there a skill heraldry for relic of hold?

    • No for stacking stat heraldry. If I’m not wrong, there isn’t any heraldry for Hold Relic.

      • Too bad you’re wrong, there are skill heraldries for “Bind Relic”
        -50% less mp cost
        -10% less cooldown

      • Hi, this post is not about the whole list of heraldry plates for priest, but more on what a priest should consider in using. Your info for that heraldry is correct. I didn’t include in the post because I don’t think it is feasible to be used. In future, I will post a full list of available heraldry for all classes. Thanks for the comment though.

  2. What’s your opinion on Grand Cross? Is it worth getting heraldry for it?

    • Personally I don’t think it is worth getting it. My reasons are
      1) Usually use to clear long stretch of mobs. On bosses, it may not be easy to deal significant damage on damage across the entire projectile. For example for Minotaur Boss, I usually aim diagonally upwards to allow Grand Cross to succeed more hits on him.
      2) Damage isn’t really wonderful. In 1-to-1 PvPs you don’t get to use it often. The superb long cast time can kill you.
      3) I am going more for a support priest, despite getting several attacks on the lightning route. Hence, Grand Cross is not really my priority.

      The 4 plates I would select would probably be 1) Heal 2) Healing Relic 3) Relic of Miracle (Lv40) 4) Lightning Relic (EX). Some players may choose other plates if they are playing support though.

  3. From what I’ve seen in the auction house, there doesn’t seem to be a damage increase heraldry for Lightning Relic. It appears that there is only reduce mana consumption and reduce cooldown. Can you please clarify? :)

  4. How about chain lightning?
